Now, look: I'm not anti-heterosexual. Some of my best friends, and even family members, happen to be straight. It's not their fault. They were born like that. I'm just sick of all these blatant violations of canon, all right? It's okay to be straight, but it is NOT okay to project your twisted fantasies of male/female action onto characters when that's clearly not what was intended.

So far as I'm concerned, if the original author didn't write it--or if the mangaka didn't draw it--then whatever you think is so "true", "cute", or whatever is bullshit. I mean, yeah, sure, this is supposed to be fandom, and it's okay to write about SOME things the author didn't (things that I like, for instance), but until the author's issued a statement as to who is in love with whom, I think it's just crazy, sick and wrong to assume that they're straight. Statistics clearly show that straight people are more likely to commit every kind of sin, and break every single law, ever conceived.

I'm sick and tired of all this pro-hetero propaganda. You can't look up fanart for any anime series without stumbling across some perverted, twisted fan who decided, apropos of nothing, that some guy and girl have to take off their clothes and writhe around together. And why? Just to fulfill their sick desires, and sell their sexual choices as "the norm".

Before I get flamed, though, remember that I said I'm not anti-heterosexuality in real life--just whenever anyone, ever, depicts it in art or in stories. I mean, when it's OOC. And because I said that I'm not a heterophobe, you can't accuse me of heterophobia.

EDIT: Because certain people--some out of innocence or confusion, and some because they are malicious and hateful--have misconstrued the meaning of this stamp, I would like to take the time, in bold fonts, to tell you all that THIS IS A JOKE aimed at ALL of the anti-yaoi and anti-yuri fans. This is not against het fandom, nor is it aimed at any specific deviant. If you search for the words "anti yaoi" on dA, you will find all manner of ridiculousness and childishness. It would be short-sighted indeed to assume that only a single person could be responsible for this.

Now I'm standing on the edge of broken confidence
And this will be the thing that makes it right
*amused* Is this sarcastic? I'm amused either way, I just want to know since sometimes it's hard to tell with type.

"The view is so much better from the point of no return..."
then shouldn't the stamp read "Anti Het Fandom?"

The sauce to my hamburger helper: *Blood-Debt
^^ Thanks.

Oh, it's highly sarcastic. I know it's hard to tell sometimes. ^^;

I'm not against het fandom, so long as it's about canonical, in-character het pairings. It's all these people who pretend that characters are straight when the original show or manga clearly doesn't say one way or another.
